Good design deserves a clear process.
Having delivered complex international projects over many years, we’ve refined and streamlined our process to be both rigorous and efficient.
Even with teams working across continents and time zones, we make sure the process is as smooth as possible.
Trust the process, and the rest will follow.
“Rory and Renata always consider the buildability of a project in their designs. It’s rare. They engage so well with consultants and earn their respect. They can produce a design that not only meets the client’s needs but also meets their budget. And they can meet a deadline, which, strangely enough, a lot of architects can’t.”

We meet with the design architect and the homeowner to start the conversation, share ideas, and get to know one another. We don’t clock on and clock off in the typical 9–5 format. We keep you informed about what’s happened overnight, and what we’re working on next. Once we’ve analysed the site, we put together a feasibility study and base model for the international design architect to begin their work.
During these stages, we liaise with the international design architect, coordinating the local consultant team, offering guidance, and providing input on all planning controls. Once the design is approved by the client, we take the lead on preparing the drawings for the Development Application and submit them to the local council.
Once the Development Application is approved, the model returns to the design architect, who then progresses through the Design Development stage. At this stage, we advise on buildability, materials and finishes, and play an active role in coordinating consultants.
When the design is ready to go, we take the developed design and prepare all the technical documentation. We work through the Construction Certificate approvals and contract documentation, and help select the builder and other contractors.
We regularly visit the site to ensure the drawings are being implemented correctly and the workmanship is of the best possible quality, and to handle any surprises that pop up. We respond to queries, review and sign off on shop drawings, and help keep the project moving.
As construction winds down and the project approaches handover, we conduct final inspections and assess Practical Completion and certification requirements.
“Renata and Rory’s ability to interpret and adapt the original design documentation into the level of detail required for an Australian build was invaluable. They were consistently proactive, producing drawings and resolving issues as they arose while maintaining strong collaboration with the builder and wider project team.
