Involved from the outset of the design process, we began navigating how to overcome a steep, sloping and constrained site shaped by conflicting planning regulations.

Now in the DA phase, we’ve been carefully negotiating these regulatory challenges and devising a strategy to develop a new home that genuinely belongs to its beachside setting.

Being on the ground allowed us to closely inspect the site and uncover opportunities to capture ocean views, leverage dual street access, and balance these ambitions against a tight footprint and numerous neighbouring constraints.

We then synchronised our on‑site knowledge with the architecture developed in Cape Town and the interior design vision led from New York, resulting in a cohesive, well‑resolved design ready for DA submission.
